It was my second year of filming this fab family at their home a few weeks ago.
Things were going swell.
Visit to the kiddos rooms to chat, some coffee in the kitchen.
Emergency 'ring cleaning' at the sink per little mama's request and some chilling out in the family room. And then...
2nd half of our shoot, just as we were all walking out to the backyard, an unwelcome visitor tore across the patio and right over little man's foot. A chipmunk.
I saw a flash of brown and nothing else but immediately hear the panic stricken screams.
Mom however, saw it all. Cue the laughter.
I surveyed the scene and immediately noted: little brother, the 'victim' who was said chipmunk's route off the deck (the chipmunk literally ran over his foot) was hysterical and in disbelief. Little sister? Cool as a cucumber. Dad, the comforter. Mom, hysterical which in turn made me laugh hysterical (hey, we are Moms, we are the nurturers 99.9% of the time but this was pretty dang funny.)
Shooting ensued shortly thereafter once he was convinced the chipmunk would not return and the grass was indeed ok to step back on.
Some tree climbing and pool dipping and all was well once again in the great outdoors.
