We all know how stressful a new move into a home can be.
Add on a little baby girl showing up a few weeks early and.. wow.
I will say, little brother wanted nothing to do with me and I could tell that was a concern for Mom at first. But I've been in this rodeo long enough to know it would come. So I just snapped away and lo and behold, curiosity got the better of him and he stood in that doorway of his new sister's room and 'snap' I turned focus to him. Then he ran out. But a few seconds later he was back and after some chatter, he suddenly came alive for the camera.
One other thing to note on this session and though I said this on the preview on my Facebook page, it bears repeating.
When I showed up Mom wanted nothing to do with being in the shot. But I quickly explained to her that wasn't an option ;), she gave birth to this little beauty and she is the primary caretaker so she sure was going to be in there.
Bold, I know, but I want no regrets for my clients. I promised her she wouldn't be center stage, but she would be THERE. Because being there is not only for her to reflect on as her children get older, but for her children to reflect on and cherish years from now.
Happy to report, she loved the images.
Here's some highlights...
